The Story

Meilin’s senior portraits, made on a late October afternoon along a wooded boardwalk trail, with the leaves just turning gold and the sun low enough to light them from behind.

We kept it simple: a soft gray sweater, her favorite boots, and plenty of room to move. Some frames are quiet and still, some are her balancing along the edge of the boardwalk with her arms out, and two are finished in black and white because her expression carried them without the color.
