Questions Couples Ask First
Who is behind Loerop Photography?
Mike Loerop. Loerop Photography is my wedding photography business, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have been making photographs for more than ten years, and I am the photographer at every wedding I book.
How do you pronounce Loerop?
LORE-up. The first half sounds like the lore in folklore, and the second half is just up. Loerop is my family name, so you will hear it at every wedding I photograph.
How many hours of wedding coverage are included?
The whole day. Coverage is sold by the day instead of the hour, so one package carries you from the getting ready room through the end of the celebration. There is no overage rate, and nothing extra is sold to you while your wedding is still going on.
How many photographs will we receive?
Weddings come back with 500 or more edited, high resolution images in a private online gallery. Portrait and engagement sessions come back with 50 or more.
When do we get our wedding gallery?
Wedding galleries land within four weeks. Portrait and engagement sessions land within two.
What is the Loerop Signature?
The Loerop Signature is my editing style, and every Loerop Photography gallery is finished in it. It's bright and airy, with soft ivory and sand tones, and it keeps the true colors of your day instead of leaning dark or moody.
Do you photograph weddings outside of Charlotte?
Happily. There is no travel fee in Charlotte or the surrounding area, and beyond that travel is fifty cents a mile with nothing added on top. I shoot anywhere in North Carolina and South Carolina, coastal weddings very much included.
How does payment work?
Ten percent holds your date as a retainer. Forty percent is due four months before the wedding, and the final fifty percent one month before the day. Portrait sessions are paid once, in full, and that is the end of it.
Is there a second photographer?
Loerop Photography is one photographer, by design, so the person you meet is the person who shows up. If your day genuinely calls for a second shooter, we work that out together in the planning conversation rather than selling it to you as a default upgrade.
How do we start?
Send me your wedding date and your venue. I check the calendar first, and if the date is open you will hear back within two business days, by call or text if you leave a number and by email if you do not.
Photographing Weddings Across Charlotte and the Carolinas
Loerop Photography is based in Charlotte and photographs weddings across North and South Carolina, the coast included. There is no travel fee in Charlotte or the surrounding area, and past that travel is fifty cents a mile with no markup. If I have not shot your venue before, I will scout it ahead of time.
