The Story

Jessica, Jet, and their daughter met me at Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte on a Monday evening in early May. They came dressed in soft creams and whites, and she carried a small woven purse through most of the session.

We started at the park’s tall stone walls for a few family portraits, then moved under the trees, where Jet spent a good while twirling her in her sundress while she laughed. After that, Jessica and Jet had a few minutes for portraits of just the two of them.

We finished out on the lawn with the Uptown skyline behind them: running, catching, and one last hug to close out the evening.
