Matt & Olivia's Fall Family Photos at Marvin Efird Park

The Story

Matt, Olivia, and their two little ones met me at Marvin Efird Park in Waxhaw on the last Saturday of fall. They came dressed in deep burgundy, navy velvet, and a soft blue cable knit, which sat beautifully against the bare trees and the leaves still covering the trail.

We started with a quick portrait of Matt on his own, then gave him and Olivia a few minutes together under the trees, close enough to forget the camera was there.

Then the kids joined in. We walked the wooded path for family portraits, settled onto a bench by the pond with the little ones on their laps, and finished in front of a warm wood-sided wall. Their daughter ended the session the best way possible: tucked into her dad’s blazer, laughing.
