Meilin's Winter Gala Portraits

The Story

A few portraits of Meilin on the afternoon of her winter gala, two years after we made her senior portraits together.

She wore a navy evening dress with her hair pulled back and loose at the front, and we worked our way along a row of storefronts: a white window frame, a wrought iron bench between two urns of winter pansies, and a corner where the low December sun turned the hedges gold. The last frame, with a holiday garland hanging over the street behind her, was taken just before she left for the evening.
