Mya & Jacob's Fall Couple's Photos at Marvin Efird Park

The Story

Before there was a ring, there was this November afternoon.

Mya and Jacob were still dating when they met me at Marvin Efird Park in Waxhaw for a couple’s session. The park was deep into fall: the trails covered in leaves, the pines and oaks lit gold from the side, and just enough color left in the trees to frame them. Mya wore a burgundy floral dress that looked right at home against all that amber, and Jacob kept it simple in a slate gray polo.

We started on the wooded trail and leaned on a wooden rail while they settled in, mostly by making each other laugh. From there we found a bench under a tall pine, walked the leaf-covered path, and finished on the open lawn by the picnic shelters.

Nine months later, they came back to the same park for their engagement session, and found a field of wildflowers waiting for them. That story is linked below.
