Mitch & Mathelle's Wedding at Rothley Court, Leicester
The Story
Mitch and Mathelle were married on August 10, 2026, at Rothley Court, a stone manor house just outside Leicester in England, with a traditional Catholic ceremony at the center of the day.
The morning started quietly. Rothley Court’s clock tower and old stone entrance set the tone outside, and inside, the tables were dressed in peach and cream, with paper fans, baby’s breath and a menu card at every place. Mathelle got ready upstairs with her bridesmaids, while Mitch and his groomsmen worked through cufflinks in the wood paneled hall below.
Before the ceremony came two first looks. The first was with her dad, in the garden. Their hug says more about that moment than anything I could write here.
The second was with her son. He walked up to her in his linen vest and bow tie, holding the calla lily bouquet she would carry down the aisle, and handed it to her himself. Her other son, dressed to match, was never far away.
Her bridesmaids wore peach and carried calla lilies, and a classic white London taxi, ribbon tied across the bonnet, was waiting for Mathelle when it was time to go. The day closed with dinner back at Rothley Court, Mitch and Mathelle side by side at the head table.
