Prom Night 2026: A Charlotte Prom Send-Off and Arrival at The Hamilton

The Story

Prom night started at home. The family had set up a send-off in the driveway: a black and silver glitter backdrop with a crown and “Prom Send Off” in marquee letters, 2026 spelled out in glitter blocks, black, white, and silver balloons, and a black runner leading up to the garage.

He wore a pink and silver floral tuxedo jacket with black satin lapels, a black bow tie, patterned black trousers, patent leather shoes, and sunglasses for most of the afternoon. Family and friends arrived through the late afternoon, and nearly every arrival started with a hug in the street. Then came photos at the backdrop with just about everyone, and one last straightening of the bow tie.

From there we moved to the street for portraits with the cars: a black Mercedes, polished enough to hold his reflection in the hood, and a lifted orange Jeep Wrangler. Somewhere in between, he spent a few minutes walking a toddler up and down the street.

Around 7:30, we pulled up to The Hamilton Event Spaces on Hamilton Street in North Charlotte. There was a red carpet out front, and the last frames are of him walking through the door to prom.
